I'm not trying to open up stereotype or attack. I really really want to lose Asian accent, and want to sound more American.

I'd like to what kind of issues native English speakers encounter someone with Asian accent. I'd like to know both positive and negative issues.

What should I be AWARE of when speaking English to sound more American and conform to General American?

As you know, people tend to judge you based on how you speak more than anything else, and based on my experience, I've encountered a lot of people who think Asian accented speakers are unintelligent and stupid. I hope I am mistaken on this.

Please be constructively critical if you opt it.

im 24 and never studied spanish before ive moved to spain as my husband is spanish and we just had our first child together. But im finding it extreamly hard to learn the language late on in life i know im only 24 but its not the same as when you learn a language when your a child , does anyone have any experience or advise ??

2) As far as I know there are no living native speakers who are fluent in this language. (still alive)

4)This is a translittoration...onto the English alphabet...


I think this is almost impossible..to guess..but I will give more clues and (maybe) web links..if nobody comes close..

I pay a lot for Cable service. I am living in the USA, we speak ENGLISH. Why is it that the cable company seems to be putting more and more channels on that are in Spanish only? I mean one or two maybe, but hey I am paying big money for this SERVICE! what service is that? get with the program!! This is not right, what a waste of channel space!! No one that needs to watch those channels is worth anything to the USA because they are probably on welfare, unemployment, or dealing drugs, so They need to FIRST go to US schools and learn to speak ENGLISH AS A FIRST LANGUAGE!!!! GET A JOB and get with the program cable company stop catering to these lazy *** people that won't learn the ONLY language of the USA!! do you agree?
