thing are very expensive during this special day.
Why is that so ?

it's just a holiday so stores and brands like Hallmark and Hershey's can sell products since there is such a huge gap between holidays. Why do so many people buy into a Capitalist-made fake holiday just so the big businesses can take your money just to make you think this day is important?? It's not and it's only celebrated in this country because it's a new holiday that was created by Capitalists, it's all set up.

Was I irresponsible with my husband's valentine? He's a cop.?
the local radio station had a deal where you could call in your valentines, so I called and said "happy valentine's to my SUPERCOP Mike ____, and my super kids. he works drug interdiction and was livid that I said his name. I was just trying to do something nice and he's being a complete jerk. I didn't say where he worked or anything like that. Was it really that irresponsible?

he's not an undercover cop.

I don't mean to sound like I'm being a sceptic, but it's just like any other day but has been built up for businesses to make lots of money.

And yes, I am single, but even when I am in a relationship, I have hated this day. I expect my partner to make the effort all the time, not just on Valentine's day when the world expects you to, and puts up the prices while they're at it!

Seriously, I hate Vday. Yes, I never had a girlfriend on my 24, but even if I had, I wouldn't celebrate it. It's naught more but a capitalist sell-out of the idea "love", as christmas is "peace" and Easter is "eggs", and Halloween is "dead".
Why does everyone pay so much attention to it. If I'd ever get someone, I'd tell her I loved her more than once a year, I'll say.
