Fortunately I've begun dating a wonderful man, unfortunately it happened to begin right before Valentine's day. I don't want there to be any weird pressure about gifts. Is it ok to not give/get something??

Any suggestions as to what special thing I could do for my eight year old daughter after work? She loves ice cream, Chuck E Cheese (wince), and video games.

I'm having a girl's night for my single friends as an alternative to V-day. One of my friends is bringing the movie The Last Kiss. I just read some reviews and it sounds kind of depressing, like none of the relationships are going well at the end. Is this a good movie choice for singles on V-day?

this make any sense?

If I eat it, I'm going to feel guilty.

Why would he do this? I purposely don't buy anything fattening.

Is it possible that he bought them so he could eat most of it himself?

Does anyone know if Valentines gifts, cards, teddy bears, flowers, etc go on sale TODAY? I'm not paying $29.99 for a freakin teddy bear today when it will be $4.99 tomorrow. There has to be some kind of cut off hour where the clearance prices go down TODAY.

Even if it is at like 9:00 PM tonight, I will stall going home until then. I'll tell my girlfriend I got a flat tire or something & go to the bar while waiting for the clearance items. Can anyone tell me what time I can expect the clearance prices?

OK, this is the real deal. No BS, and also I am not bragging, just looking for advice for yes no etc.
My wife is going on a 10 day private yacht 150ft with 5 girlfriends and she leaves tonight at 9PM, Valentines Day. When she returns, she is going to the Justin Timberlake concert 6th row with 3 girl friends, and then she is off to China for 2 weeks with her school program. Should I run out today and get her something for Valentines Day, if so, what? (The yacht trip is s friend's, the concert is comped, and China has already been paid for)

What is something my girlfriend and I can do tonight for Valentine's Day in Chicago?

I already have an hour and half couples massage planned out for Friday because I get off work a bit late on the weekdays.

But I was just wondering what we can do tonight for just a "filler". I am also looking for something cheaper.

We were going to go out to eat and then go to the movies but the movie we want to see is playing to early and to late for me.

I was maybe thinking walking through Millenium Park or maybe even the zoo. But we would be up for anything.

P.S. her roommate is at the room so no "funny business" for tonight. So get your heads out of the gutter! haha

Any help would be great if not I'm sure we will think of something.

Thanks and have a great Valentine's Day!

what he wrote was on it before, and wrote over it! I didn't notice it originally.

I really can't tell what was written on it before, could have been his ex's name, or maybe he had given me this card before and I don't remember it. He wrote it out to my little nick name he gave me.

I know he likes to save money, but isn't this a bit extreme?

What's next, dried out old rose petals next year?

many schools have a Valentine's Day program which involves the student council distributing flowers & chocolates form one student to another(that is,if you did pay for it).but is this, really neceassary?

my school does that too,& today there were a lot of misunderstandings & confusions.my crush apparently thought that I had sent him a "Friendship" rose annoymously, whereas i was never a person to do things in a round-abt manner).

a couple of my guy friends played a joke on my best friend,Anjuli-they sent this guy a rose saying that it's from her.he received the rose,& then it was taken away because she denied sending it.(imagine how he would have felt)
only a couple of girls got roses in my whole grade, compared to the guys.(are traditions being reversed?).some people even send flowers to themselves,so that they can brag abt how many they got.(is it a competition?)& of course, there was also a lot of people who didn't get anything.(i wonder how many broken hearts went home today)

Me for one.

I've been laid up with a stomach bug (haven't been out of the house for 4 days) plus rushed off my feet with our 10 week old baby son, Arthur, and I hadn't got my Other Half anything for Valentine's Day!

He got me cards from both him and Arthur, a big cuddly plush Valentine dog and a **huge** bouquet was delivered to the door just after he left for work!!

I said I was sorry and would get him something for when he came home tonight but he still left the house in high umbridge and not very pleased with me at all.

I rang up a local florist and arranged them to deliver a "man's" bouquet to him at work, plus just popped out and bought him a card and some chocs (he is a chocoholic).

Do you think that'll save me? What else should I do?!?! I feel really bad about it!
