Why not you might make there day brighter. It's the thought that counts. Happy Valentine's day. It's nice of you to even consider doing something special for whom is down in dumps.

I don't know how it is in US but here in Germany we only send V.cards & gifts to partners, wives and husbands or those we are in love with...so if that person is divorced right now he/she might think you only waited for him/her to be "free". But if its normal in US to send it to everyone you like a lot I'm sure that person will be happy about that nice gesture.

It depends on the relationship you have with the divorced person. Coworker- probably not. Someone you're hoping to hit on? Absolutely not. Friend/relative who is sad? Absolutely.
Anonymously? NO- it would make her/him nuts and she /he has enough crap on the plate right now.

I think it's a nice gesture. The person on the recieving end will be gratefull to know someone is thinking of them during a rough time in their life.
