I didn't get him anything either but he told me not to, and he did buy me a flower at the dance last weekend, but he told me that he didn't get me anything else. He apologized and said that he felt bad, but I don't know what to do...

you know, it's not as bad as it seems, some guys just don't think valentine's day is an important holiday for a lot of women. he probably doesn't know how important it is to you. give him a break, wish him happy valentines day, you didn't get him anything either, so what's the big deal?

I think that valentine's day is very much over rated due to the fact its a double cop-out. For one it just gives a man who doesnt have too much creativity a free-bee, just basically get some flowers, candy, and something that she would like on a generic holiday....and two for the female who wants something this is a second chance for you to get what you didnt get for christmas or ur bday if it already passed.

But what it really boils down to is that if you get mad on this day because your lover didnt express his love for you then maybe you need to look at the other 364 days of the year and not put so much weight on 1 day bcuz if thats the case that we could all just run around and stop what you're doing for just this one day and get a card and something that shines and we would all be the perfect b/f and g/f but i am only one person with one opinion.

ps HAPPY V-Day

I would feel the same way! But, you have to realize that everyone is not millionaires and most people really dont have enough money for Valentines Day. I think you should stay with him and tell him that its no biggie and you would rather have him in your life then some roses that will die in a week or so.

Look at the bright side: At least you didn't get a 99 cent card and some candy.

Its horrible that big business has made it impossible for someone not to celebrate valentines day.
I mean no one even knows why its a holiday anymore. its just an excuse for guys to go out and spend a fortune on their gf just to show that they care. If you think that just because he didn't buy you anything that hes a bad boyfriend, maybe you should think about what kind of girlfriend you are. Material possessions are not a symbol of true love.

Well, first off how long have you and he been together. If this is a new relationship, then just let it go. BUT If you and he have been an item for a few months or so then he should have gotten you something. AT the very least a dozen roses. Now he should still get you the roses and then some. BUT IF you really like him let it go and tell him not to forget in the future.

who cares don't get so worked up over v-day if he says he loves you then that should defitnely be enough he has all the days of the year to shower you with gifts not just valentines days maybe you guys can go out for dinner or go to the beach and watch a sunset there are so many other things to do than be sad on v-day

Does he treat you with respect? Is he kind to you? Do you enjoy being with him? Does he make your life better? If you said yes then I would say he has given you aot. But if you are undecided even a little bit then I would say ....Next!

It's not a big deal. Valentines Day should be like any other day.

try these cute vases and put seeds inside for tulips. then when the spring comes plant them. when they grow up cut them and put them in the vases. makes a really nice gift thats not too expensive.

plus it shows you plan on sticking it through for the long haul. very romantic. goodluck.
