A very wealthy man stepped out into the street on Christmas Eve - There was a very old and disheveled man sitting on the
Frozen snow over the sidewalk - asking for alms, so that he'd be able to buy himself something warm to drink. The very old man had ice on his long beard, ice all over his clothes, and his one hand, was holding as if it had been glued to it, a plastic cup. The old homeless man saw the wealthy man and raised his cup to him, asking for anything which would provide him with a cup of hot chocolate.
The wealthy man was on his way to a store which sold spirits. He was giving a party that EVE and was much in a hurry.
He sighed when he was interrupted by the old man, but said to himself, 'this is Christmas after all, I guess . . so he fished into his pocket and drew a dime, which he threw into the very old man's cup. im from new orleans and we usually leave them up until Mardi Gras and change the bulbs to purple green and gold!!!!! but now i live in NYC and am quite confused.... whats normal out here?!?!?

We're getting ready to open presents and I don't even have mine wrapped yet... well sort of I guess. They're wrapped, but it didn't come out right. There is tape going left and right, the wrapping paper is all crinkled up, part of the gift is even showing as it tore out because of the poor wrapping. and although it's a box with fancy clothes inside, the whole thing is circular and looks like I will be giving everyone a basketball for christmas judging by the shape because of the wrapping. Would u be fine if your family member gave u a gift like this? You know what they say, it's the thought that counts and the fact that I tried. How do u wrap a box or anything for that matter. I also got this funny shaped thing for my mom. Although it is very small, the wrapping paper makes it look as if I have given her a new TV set

Will these stores have big sales on everything or certain items?

I'm 14 years old and I'm in France for experiencing how its like, I originally live in America. I am not really in good terms with the family Im living with here, and all the stores are closed.
