for a long time now i have been deeply insecure about myself, i am the only light skinned person in my immeadiate family and was told that my darker family were to ashamed to be seen with me because i appeared to be mixed and lighter, i can understand because of the many prejeducies and injustices my family went through coming from the caribbean to england in the 70's. My father is a white man who i've only met a handful of times and who wants nothing to do with me, i can accept this and always refer to myself as black when asked and NEVER 'mixed raced'. I admit i am a little insecure about the colour of my skin and regularly use sunbeds and only date the darkest men. I feel rejected by my white father and don't see why i should embrase a culture which doesn't embrase me, is this attitude wrong?, or am i right to be proud of the culture i have?

Ive read in history books about how pit bulls were inbred over and over in order to make them crazy for the use of fighting. We all have heard stories of inbreeding in the south, mostly in joking, but with overtones truth. The more I learn about the middle east, the more I hear about this inbreeding that has gone on for thousands of years. Sadam and his wife, first cousins, both offspring of inbreeding themselves. This question is sure to offend some, although not my intention, I appologize, but the real question here is, when you look at the history of the middle east over the past several thousand years and look at it today, you have to ask yourself, are the crazy?? They are killing Americans yes, but they are also slaughtering themselves and have continued to do so for thousands of years. Does thousands of years of inbreeding play a part in this?? For the record, my wife is Jordanian and portorican, Im a greasy dago, dont call me a raceist, please only intelligent responses.

It is one of those politically correct words thought up in recent history? I don't think it exist because if you break down the word it means fear of man, that is ridiculous. We throw words out there against people because they don't agree with a particular lifestyle and people are being villafied for it. I don't agree with the homosexual lifestyle but I do love them as people and don't think they should be harrassed or beaten up because of their choice, which homosexuality is a choice not something you are born into...maybe pushed into by societal forces but not born into.
I just want to tell all those who are choosing to live a homosexual lifestyle that I love them and the Lord loves them. The lord does not hate them, he hates the sin inside them and the fact that they are believing a lie about themselves that was told or demonstrated to them from a very young age.
God Bless,
Miri

In the news? Taught in school, especially history classes? Africa is called the cradle of civilization for a reason and it has nothing to do with race, gender or anything, but facts are facts. Choosing to ignore them is one thing, but they will still be facts.

And no, I didn't just pull this fact out of the air, scientists have been saying this for years. There was a news article about it last year, read it for yourself:

Is it "cool" to write and sound like complete itiots? Do you think your chances of being hired or considered for a loan or accepted in a college are better when you sound like a street thug, drug addict, or moron? Or do you already know you'll be pregnant at 15, on welfare and living off of the American working stiffs who give a crap about their lives? It's infuriating to say the least. Bring it on. If you can read this of course....

I have had the pleasure of witnessing and experiencing several situations in which black people are either looked down upon or don't exist in the Latin America sphere. Example #1 A really good friend of mine is Puerto Rican (woman) and dates another friend of mine who is Black (male). My friend (the woman) mother questioned her about 'why' she couldn't find a white man or latin man to date.

Example #2 A neighbor of mine who is Domincan (I really like this neighbor too) in a conversation about image--stated that I shouldn't say that I am black but Indian (native american) ---WTF!

Example #3 One of my best friends is Brazilian and they tell me all the time that Brazilians are color blind and don't believe in racism and discrimination.----Well I believed her until I had a run-in with a Brazilian who told me that there are at least 100 different words for shades of black because No one wants to be called black outright in Brazil unless you are really really dark. UGH.
