Is it "cool" to write and sound like complete itiots? Do you think your chances of being hired or considered for a loan or accepted in a college are better when you sound like a street thug, drug addict, or moron? Or do you already know you'll be pregnant at 15, on welfare and living off of the American working stiffs who give a crap about their lives? It's infuriating to say the least. Bring it on. It's your opinion that we don't. All older people want to do is sit around and stereotype us and then wonder why we have no respect for them after being treated like second class citizens and blamed for everything from obesity rates to global warming by them. I have heard many older Americans who don't speak English well (i.e. "Look at dat" out of older black men). Your sarcasm is pathetic...if you really believed that we couldn't read this, then you wouldn't be posting in Yahoo! answers now would you? Get a life and stop degrading the people who will be running the world when you're flat on your back and incapable of doing so.

I'm from Korea so English is my second language. Whenever I have some time away from taking care of my store, I get help with my English from my daughter. I drives my nuts when I see these ***** hoodlums with their gold teeth and baggy pants grabbing their crotches and blubbering some ebonics. It's all the fault of the white people in this country giving them a free ride with food stamps and welfare. If these animals really had to work for a living, they'd have to learn English to get a job.

Most people know when to use slang and when not to use it. If u see me with my friends/family you will hear slang. That does not mean that I will talk like that during a Power Point Presentation or on written work like a college essay. Most people don't walk around as if the SAT police are on their backs.
Unless you know someone personally that writes and sounds like an idiot, it should not annoy u. If u do know someone like that, maybe you should help them out.

From what Ive seen, it's music that glamorizes these things in urban culture, namely blacks. They make it seem cool to do drugs, have sex, and set of 22" spinners.
look around today, urban culture is based on pride, I see minivans with 14 in chrome rims, and what looks like starving kids inside? why would a mother pay (avg) 600 dollars for rims when she accepts welfare?

Because it is cool to act black. When they get out into the real world, their lingo isn't going to cut it. They will then whine because they will only be able to find nimimum wage jobs.
