Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender - January 2007

I'm doing a pro-gay marriage research blog, but I need some information and google and yahoo aren't enough. What are the benefits that a married couple has that are denied to a gay couple? Please, just the facts, no opinions. Thanks

This question is not intended to offend, I honestly do not see the wisdom in the statement, "celebrate diversity". I would like to know how and why it is done. What positive fruit does this practice show? And shouldn't we celebrate commonality?

I mean, they can march around and pull triggers but how can they be seen as a strong, mature, honorable, and brave military machine when the thought of a gay man serving with them scares them.And what is so funny is that a gay man is serving with them!The only difference is the gay man is forced to lie about the fact that he is gay so that everyone else doesn't get scared.

I know that I am just a woman and everything, but if my boyfriend can work with a gay guy with no problem, shouldn't a trained soilder be able to?Also, it is interesting to know that several nations have begun allowing gays to serve openly.So, when the US military does joint operations with those military's, how do they cope with their phobias?

25yrs lesbian dating 21 yrs lesbian for over two years. She lives with over-protective mum who doesn't accept us, who has constantly for our two years made her fight to see me as much as possible, she has told me she loves me but can't do this anymore and slowly been slowing down contact between us. In other words she is choosing her mum's wishes over her own. Denying her happiness with me. Since her mum threatened her with leaving her and not letting her see her little sister ever again if she stays with me I work with her and so do a bunch of my friends. They saw her at work today and said she looks miserable. She still loves me. I need to tell her how I feel from the bottom of my heart. I would marry her anyday. So I went out with this girl twice and I really like her and want to get to know her. I think the two time went well because there was pretty good conversation and I don't think it was at all akward. Personally, I would like to see her again but I don't want to call her and invite her someplace because I initiated the first two times. I feel that no matter if I feel that it went well I don't really know her perspactive so if she want to get together then she would call me.So my game plan is I will wait a week until I call her again.
