I haven’t always been the most open minded towards Bisexual people... I have had my opinion and my opinion only... Since I have been on this forum I have opened up some and I'm trying to be more accepting and embrace all of our diversity

So here it goes, I just read a question and it’s about a women who is married and has a woman on the side. She doesn’t let her husband participate. I don’t know about you all but I would call that selfish, and double standards.. Just because you are bi doesn’t mean that you are entitled to two partners does it? I would think cheating is cheating, even if the other person knows about it...balancing two peoples instead of one? Someone is going to get hurt... Please tell me your views and help me understand?

I ended up having an intimate relationship with my best friend, but now it is over and she is "in love" with a new girl (like she said she was in love with me). She doesn't seem to understand that it still hurts (it's been like 3 months since it ended) and she wants me to act like we were never together. She has quit calling me everyday and we never spend any time together. It is soooo hard because I love her so much. I feel like I should not put up with the way that she treats me, but I do not want to live without her. I have talked to her about it several times and she always says that things will change and that we will spend time together, but things only get worse. I am at the end of my rope, but I don't want to end our friendship. She is the only person who really knows me, but no one should be treated the way that she treats me. What the **** do I do?

All right...there's this kid "Joe" here at college...he's always had this superior attitude like he's better than everyone...our school is 99.99% black, and lots of the students come from low-income families....

So Joe sends me a message on myspace asking me who "Rodney" is (a gay friend of mine who lives in MO. We lost contact for ten years and just now got back in touch) Joe saw his picture on I thought he was making fun of Rodney, so I tell Joe that he shouldn't be making fun of gay people or anybody at all... so Joe goes, "I wasn't trying to be funny...I thought he was cute...I'm bisexual, but please don't tell anybody."

Now I'm straight...and I have about 7 gay friends...but I'm not sure if Joe is trying to play a trick on me or if he really is bi...we don't even talk that much...I think it's weird that he'd come out to me....what should I do? Is he playing a trick on me, or is he serious?

These are totally different things.

Personally, I feel that you should be proud of who you are.

As a black woman in the South, to successfully overcome all obstacles that are already put before you at birth, without milking the system is definately something to be proud about.
As a black person, I still face discrimination.
It makes me stronger for whatever life throws my way, to break down barriers that stand in the way of my success.

I walk in pride.

At the same time, I don't disrespect other races.

In fact, the only way I would disrespect someone is if they disrespect me.

I don't care what color you are, RESPECT ME AND I SHALL RESPECT YOU.

I want all black people to see that hey A Straight Black man Can do this and a Black man can accomplish that. Doesn't that take away from the achievement. It almost looks like I'm more concerned with being black than what I've applied my self to achieve.

Here is my question, So a Gay person is succesful. Why bring it up like I have done this and that in life but I'm Gay. I don't get it. like don't single out a person becasue they are gay, Yet Gay people can (some) do it to themselves. Whats the point?

It's great that your are successful, it has nothing to do with you being gay like my success has nothing to do with me being Black. To mention that seems to take a bit of steam out of one's success, it's the dream seem empty.

If my only goal was to prove that I could get a good job graduate college and have money as a Black man, What happens when I get there. It's not hard to, what is hard to do is achieve for one's self thats the idea we should push, right?

What say you?

People's opinions right or wrong should be tolerated. If you can't take the heat stay out the kitchen.

Or do oyu know someone who does have tha kind of trouble from being gay? Because one of My Best friends are gay, and he has a tough time with people making fun at him.

We go to a very small school with a bunch of "hicks" (no offense...) and they all make fun of him for it. He;s really tough about it, he says he doesn't get offended by it and just ignores it, but i can tell it gets to him sometimes. Any advise?

I know all white people are not like this, but a lot of white people are. Please don't tell me that there are ignorant people in every race, I know that, but the majority of ignorant people are white. I'm just asking and I'm curious.

What usually drives the fantasies we have or the stuff we are into? Like does being submissive to God growing up affect how you are as an adult?
