I think that we should have a college for LGBT community, it will like teach and help alot of teens coming out of the closet and out of high school who are trying to find their selves, and to be around nothing but LGBT would help alot of people and guarantee alot of security and less hatred from homophobic students, Because i attend a huge university and some people there are really homophobic, they wont even tough a rail that a gay person touched especially if they can tell they are gay. It's really a shame that soem people act this way but they do and it may not show but it hurts a lot of people that other people wont except them for them and not by ther sexual preference.

I don't know of a college just for the LGBT community, but there is at least one high school. I think it is called Walt Whitman High and there are only like 20 or so students.

Well, colleges seem to be better than high schools. Often MUCH better. OSU I know is pretty much the top college for transpeople though. They have one of the nation's best diversity policies in place AND IN USE. And that's for everyone that's different than the norm, whether it be because of ancestry, religion, preference, etc.

There are many colleges that are more friendly to GLBT people (and, overall, liberal arts colleges tend to be more accepting than the general public). It's a seperatist issue, the debate that goes back an eternity.

why would people want to be segregated like that? Almost all colleges have GBLT or Straight and Gay Alliance groups. I personally feel that would be a step back from achieving equality.

If you are not gay and you posted this then I think it is completely prejudice.

Smith College in Northampton Massachusetts has a really open and accepting lesbian, bi and trans population; although it is an all girls school.

Not that I know of, probably for the reason why the GLBT conferences are now GLBTQA conferences, cannot exclude anyone.

i think that if there is not one it is for fear of being bombed or being under constant criticism or it may just be that no one went through with the idea
