I'm his only employee and know him through my mom. He's 48,I'm 24. He has manners & been "gentleman- like", giving innocent compliments and smiling at me. We've only shaken hands, and one time we hugged and he briefly kissed my hand, holding it with both of his-- as a warm "hello gesture" after my absence of 1 month. He's arabic and french. i was told arabic men aren't known to be loyal to their wives. True?Today he told me I'm very photogenic and that I would be a great model, basically implying "you have a nice body". He then asked how I feel about beeing married and if it changed me as a person. I told him I'm happy and gave him my take on marriages.Hetold me about his marriage(of 20 yrs). He thought about leaving his wife after 7 yrs, but decided to stay. Right now, their marriage is without substance and that it's not a real love&romance-infused marriage, implying that he's not "committed". Just my intuition to account for what I feel is implied. Will he keep me employed?

Some logicians say that " whatever we do in the privacy of our own homes, while not harming others, is our business." But do we ever really just harm ourselves alone? How about the short term consequences of our actions? How about the long-term effects?

My Mom used to ask people "Do you want to take your coat off so you won't get cold when you go outside ? " . That never made sense to me . Did my Mom's question have any basis in reality ? Is this an old wives' tale ? Have anym of you ever heard of this before ? If you wear your coat inside, do you get cold when you go outside ?

Some of my co-workers insist on always being dramatic. Instead of talking about problems, they go behind each other's backs. Instead of saying what's really on their minds they make rude comments about each other. They also "pretend" to not know what their jobs are to get out of doing their duties. I can't hide from them, I have to work with them. I've tried being a mediator and I've also tried to ignore the drama. What would you do?

I have a knack for guessing what kind of person they re justs by looking at they're toes...

Like the big momma toe for example if it is slanted or curve I judge on it based upon the person

Just like the fingernails, if they are too straight then he/she must be sophisticated person. Overall it also helps examining the person's appearance and clothing/style to judge.

Have you heard anything similar from my example? or know anymore information about "how to read people"? just like the handshake, the tighter the grip on your hand from that person the bestest he is at trust, are these true at all?

I am working on a research project on the experience of being mixed-race in London, UK. I am mixed-race myself and this research project aims to benefit mixed-race people by helping others to understand them better. I would like to know if anyone would be interested in participating in this project and be interviewed at some stage. If you are seriously interested, please let me know on this thread. Also, I am not sure about the best way to arrange for exchanging contact details, so perhaps you could suggest this too. Maybe I will release my e-mail address on this question once the question has moved down the list a bit.

Like courses listed in political science at an online college that insist that all aspects of globalization are bad, it's the only course and it must be the downside and never the upside or different views on the matter.

I've always been more pro Palestine than Israel though I'm not political and know little of the sittuation. I assume it's becaue of what I've seen on TV, Israelie troops and tanks targetting civilian populations. It probably reminds me of how the Nazi's behaved towards the Jews.

Feudalism is the only word I could find to describe the current situation as money collected from us (the hardworking taxpayers) is directed to the monstrously wealthy - who (through trickery) pay relatively little or no tax on obscene profits (or get it back by gov't grants), to fund creating more efficient ways of tricking us into purchasing at ridiculous rates energy gathered from the earth, wind, sun, water and air. Isn't funded research supposed to benefit those who pay for it? For that matter isn't the profit of their corporations also, truthfully, simply another form of tax levied on us anyway (& sanctioned by the govts -elected and paid by us to protect our interests instead of granting license to the wealthy to get away with their thieving ways).

Please don't bring up who owns what and why - all that legal mumbo jumbo is just the technicality of theft. The emperors have no clothes! We can all see their obese greedy hearts. What are we going to do about it?
