Like courses listed in political science at an online college that insist that all aspects of globalization are bad, it's the only course and it must be the downside and never the upside or different views on the matter.

And then it's interesting should one want to take archaeology, classical Greek or Latin, Arabic, Middle Eastern history, more fine arts courses, environmental studies, international history, business and other areas there are a lot of old courses now unavailable, suspended or simply cancelled.

Courses have a political bent because college instructors have their own opinions. When they studied social science themselves and did their own research, they probably could not help but see globalization as bad because they were looking at, say, the lives of poor coffee farmers as opposed to company shareholders. Because your opinions differ from many of your instructors, you will have to be more careful about making stronger, well-supported arguments.

It all depends on your personal political persuasion. While you might feel that a certain point-of-view might be too leftist for your personal tastes, there's likely another student who feels that same view is too rightist for him or her. I think when people complain about political biases in colleges, they don't really belong in college in the first place. College is first and foremost, a place for higher learning and critical thinking. That includes hearing views you might not agree with. If you don't want to learn about them, then consider going somewhere else for job training.
