Dream Interpretation

I don't put a lot of store by either Freud or Oneiramancy, but this one was weird enough to warrant asking. In the dream, I pulled out a loose canine which turned into a black umbrella with a curved bone handle. I didn't open it, but was sure in the dream that it had magical properties. This dream followed a fairly routine erotic dream.

Is there more going on here than having a burrito before my afternoon nap?

last night i had a dream i was driving in a car with my step dad & he found a red snake in the car. i was in the passenger seat & he picked it up & tried to throw it out the window. somehow it bit me & got hold of my hand & wouldnt let go & he had to practically rip the snake off of my hand b/c it wouldnt let go. does anyone have any idea what this means? it was a red snake, in a car with my step dad, & it bit me on the hand? PLZ anyone tell me anything

I had a dream last night that a strange woman gave me a present wrapped in newspaper and told me to open it. For some reason I told her I wasn't going to. I turned the other way and she opened it for me. The next thing I knew she had plunged a knife into my back. It was painful and I felt my back hot with and pain-like my nerves were screaming or something. But I didn't even try to escape or fight back. What's the meaning of this dream?

so i had this dream last night that something happened with this guy i used to go out with two years ago...something sexual happened but im not sure what...today at school in biology he was in front of me and he turened around out of nowhere and said "can i touch your hair" and i remembered the dream and was intrigued by this so i said yes. he stroked my hair (right beside my face) gently with two fingers and then when he was done he said "that was fun" and then turned back around and didnt say antyhing to me the rest of the day. after that he showed no inteserst whatsoever....????freaky...

I was speaking to a coworker and she was intentionally ignoring my question I was asking her. So I asked her loudly, "Do you always ignore people when they are speaking to you?
The response I recieved was "I'd rather not play with the parents of monopoly" The parents are tall and the game is short, and the rewards are few"

It was such weird cryptic response that I remembered it and woke up.
How would you interepret the meaning of this?

Years ago when my children were younger, we lived in an old rent house here in town. One night I put my children to bed in front of the t.v and I went to sleep on the couch. Several hours later I awoke and I couldn't move!! It literally felt like I was paralyzed! My face was pointed toward the back of the couch and no matter how hard i tried I could not move. I remember thinking I was probably having a stroke and I needed to be calm and ride it out(I was only 29 at the time). Finally I was able to turn my head around and I was looking downward at my feet, it felt like my eyes were swollen. Then i realized my toes were sticking straight up and there was no slack in the queen size comforter I was using, Like I was levitating above the couch!! I was so terrified that I jumped up, grabbed my kids and took off to my sister's house! I am a logical person and think there must be a logical explanation. Was my brain still asleep??Can anyone tell me what was happening??

Most of the dream is very vague now. But I remember taking someone in the bathroom to show them this gigantic bug. It was probably 4-5 inches long and a good 2 inches wide. It was bright blue, black, and white. Interesting looking bug, but a bug nonetheless.

I bent down to look at it and it spread it's wings and flew up and attacked my leg.

I was torn between being so skeeved out about touching it and not wanting it to sting me. I wanted it off of me but couldn't bring myself to actually put my finger on it to flick it away.

Very strange. I can't remember anything else about the dream. But this part is still vivid and makes my whole body shudder just thinking about it.

I've always considered dreaming to work kind of like a kaleidoscope - take a bunch of junk from you ray, put in a seemingly simple gadget (sleep?) and voila, you get either a masterpiece or some random.. thing. My argument is the fact that in I can find a meaning why everything happens in my dream – for example if I dreamt about swings, I remember that once during the day I thought about swings, if I dreamt about a girl with a fringe, I remember seeing a picture of someone having the exact hairstyle. This way, I can I know the source of everything that happens in my dreams.

But could you prove to me or give some arguments as to why dreams might also have meanings? I'm really looking forward to it and half wish to be convinced :).

I have dreams where there are snakes everywhere. Every place I look I see a snake. There all different. Some big some small in various colors and patterns. I had this dream 2 nights ago that i cant get out of my head.I was in an apartment patio on the 2nd story.it was a patio overlooking the city.A very big city.looking straight out at the city, there was an ocean a very big, very detailed ocean. what was strange about this ocean that i cant get out of my head was the fact that it was curving upward toward the sky. like we were on the bottom of the world looking up. It was hurling giant waves at the city. but the waves did not go far enough into the city to reach my patio. As soon as the waves hit, droplets of water would fly past my head like bullets.That ocean looked like such a danger, and such a monster.it had a very dark almost glow to it.However, it was so amazing that i couldnt be afraid.After veiwing this awsome sight, i turned to my left, and saw men with guns on the street. they were shooting. although they werent aiming for me, stray bullets came close.i ducked and headed inside.thats really all i remember.tell me what u think.

hi, i was dreaming a very long dream, but i'll get to the importent stuff. ok in my dream, i was tryin to get away from this train, and in my dream i had no hope, i knew i was going to die, but thin all of a suddin i see a small space and rushed to it, while i had my son in my arms,i was holding on a small piece of branch, hopin i wouldn't let go. and finlly i feel safe thinkin im gonna be ok, but thin thats when a spider, black widow, bites me on my hand and thin i wake up!!! well atleast thats what i think, see this is the tricky part im not sure if i was awake or still sleepin. when all of a suddin my heart starts beeting really fast, and i mean fast, more thin normal fast, it almost felt as if my heart was gonna come out of my chest, my eyes where twichin really fast none stop!!! i couldnt even breath right, i was but very heavy. it would hurt when i would breath, i felt like a nott in my throat, ans in my head i was sayin this dosent feel right, get up get up!!! but i couldnt

One I had was I was lying in Bed and i was rolled out of bed onto the floor face down. After tring to get myself up, kind of like a push up, I felt my own muscles pulling me back aginst myself putting me back down with my face to the floor. Then I woke up. The second one was about a Saint Bernard. I was holding his face (his body was attached) in my hands and talking to him.

Hi Last night i had a dream about a snake on a womens shoulder and i am petrified of snakes in real life..i did not go to bed even thinking about a snake...once the snake saw me it came off the woman and slithered towards me VERY fast..jumped up to bite me in the face and the WHAM! this man out of nowhere grabbed the snake by its head with one arm!...before it wanted to bite me...while he was holding the snake the snake was still trying to force itself to bite me & couldn't...i saw the snakes fangs with venom coming out of it...scary..the night before that i had a dream of a gray cat trying to kill my son when i went to go get it off my son it jumped on me clawing me in my hands...it hurt in the dream then when i went to go grab my son i look towards my left and there were TWO of them!..TWO identical twins of my son (him included) ...my son is 4 and he is my only child.i am very con serened of these dreams, can someone please tell me what they mean..serious answers only please. thanx

i had this dream several times. i think it means smth because after i had this dream, my life turned upside down.

i had this dream that i was in this amusement park with my family. i would go to this merry go round looking thing surrounded by mirrors and it kept on turning and turning. then it would stop when i woke up.

but all i know is that before i had this dream, my life was great~like good grades, family, life, happy. but after this dream like 3 or 4 months later my life was just horrible ..like a wheel of fortune turned upside down....what do you think my dream means?

Well this is a recurring dream of mine-but not too common. There a huge tidal waves so everyone scrambles to the highest point. It is a constant battle to get to the higher ground as there are many obstacles. Water just keeps engulfing everything below and around. There is a plane at the top to escape, but just as I get on it I know something will go wrong. Strangely, I don't go for my friends hand to drag them off in to the water with me, I take my ex boyfriend's (from a few years ago, plus he treated me badly) and we fall back into the water. I manage to swim us back to dry land and when we get there all is returned to normal, but we are dodging debris from falling on us, which would instantly kill us, such as logs and stuff. I always wake up scared and down after these dreams. Please help if you can, thank you.

I was at home, and upon walking into one of the rooms, I saw several elves (maybe around 6-8 of them). They took one look at me and dashed for the windows, apparently scared. I myself was surprised though intrigued enough, immediately went for the windows to give them some biscuits to get them back inside, which they did. And they happily took the biscuits.

I held out a hand and one of them hopped onto my palm. I took a good look at it; Like the others, the elf was small, fair-skinned, naked (no gender), with huge black eyes. And he told me something. Actually, it wasn't exactly spoken words, it was more like an exchange of thoughts. Anyways, it was something like "you'll live long, so more suffering", but I was also left with a strong impression/thought. That I will live longer than them (That came out like a sort of.. fact, understanding).

Now that was weird.. And it all seemed real to me at the time.
Any thoughts on this?
