Both of these dreams seem to indicate that you are troubled by something that you don't feel like you are in control of.
It also seems that you feel like this "threat" will overtake you before you have time to react.
The cat dream indicates a strong protective sense that you have about your son.
Have you been having odd feelings lately about any other children that your son plays with or has other contact with? It seems as though you may be troubled that something will happen to him that is caused by other children.
The best way to find out what is causing the dreams is to sit down when you can have quiet time, and do a serious inventory of your life. You need to figure out all the things that bother you on a constant basis. Especially if it concerns you and your child's safety, which based on these dreams, it does.

Your first dream about the snake represents there is someone you know who you need to be very careful of. The snake represents the demonic spirit of deceit and deception. There is a person who has a deceitful nature which will try to decieve you. If the snake bites you, it means you have fallen under the influence of that deception. However, God will intervene on your behalf that you will not be bitten. This is represented by the man grabbing the snake at the last moment. Your dreams are about spiritual warfare that the devil is bringing against you. Even your dream about the cat attacking your son. Be careful who you let around your son. Your fight with the cat represents a conflict which you will have possibly with a person. Being clawed in the hands represents a stressful and painful ordeal to get a "grip" on the situation. Seeing two of your sons is significant also. The number 2 represents double portion and "confirmation of a thing". There is something about your son that God is showing you in which there is a great potential in him, that's why that cat went after him, to kill the potential in him.

Dreams are a result of your subconscious trying to sort out the events of your awake state. Sometimes the images in your dreams might symbolize something completely different from what you might expect. According to this website: http://www.dreammoods.com/
"To see fangs in your dream, indicates that you have said some words that have been hurtful to others."
Here's what the same website says about seeing twins:
"To see twins in your dream, signifies ambivalence, dualities and opposites. It also represents security in business, faithfulness, and contentment with life. It may also mean that you are either in harmony with or in conflict between ideas and decisions.
To see twins fighting in your dream, represents a conflict between the opposites of your psyche. One twin signifies emergence of unconscious material and suppressed feelings, while the other twin represents the conscious mind. There is some situation that you are not confronting."
I think it is also important to remember the feelings and emotions you experienced in your dream and try to think of a situation you had in your awake state that made you feel the same way. Coming to grips with that will help your subconscious sort things out.
I don't think there is anything to be scared of, it sounds like you are just going through some changes in your life and sometimes change can be good...even though it might seem scary at first.

snake = fear
this man = your support
a women's shoulder = burden
gray cat = lack of freedom
trying to kill your son = insecurity, seeking for protection
twin son = deception
First of all, when you dream of snake, it may mean you have some hidden fear in your subconscious mind. In your case, it may have something to do with your family. You may be stressed and you are feeling burdened by something and that cause fear. It could involve about financial. Projecting snake on a woman's shoulder show heavily that you are pressured by something in life. This man could be about your husband or something that is support you financially or emotionally. In other words, you may be feeling helpless even if your support is around. You are basically feeling insecure in this case
Second, The gray cat could mean freedom fading. Projecting gray cat trying to kill you shows emotionally you are feeling lack of freedom, and again this may have something to do with your son. Since you see two sons instead of one. You are feeling burdened in this case as well. There may be some deception you experienced in life that made you feel stressed. However, the twin sons you are seeing are not about joy. They are about some fear. In other words, you have heavy duties to take care in the family and somehow one son may seem two to you and he may be the reason that you are feeling your freedom taken away from.
Of course, you may not think that in reality, but this is coming out from your subconscious mind.

Snakes are symbolic representations of the potential for evil within yourself. (I said POTENTIAL for evil, not actual evil. There is a difference.) Snakes can strike at any minute without warning, making them unreliable and untrustworthy. I'm guessing you harbored feeling of ill will towards someone and said something, and it came back to you, OR the woman is someone who has been harboring feelings of ill will towards you and has been saying bad things about you and it struck you, and it hurt your feelings. The man is the your conscience, you made a decision not to retaliate against that person, and not get involved and that has saved you, but their actions and harsh words still hurt you, and you recognize there is potential for more.
The second dream of the cat - I hope I get this right. The cat is representative of your annoyances with your son. He's only 4, I'm guessing he makes a big mess and a big noise - so much mess and so much noise it seems like there must be 2 of him running around (your son being twins in the dream). You love him very much, and you don't like getting angry with him, and you are afraid your anger will get worse (it's why the gray cat attacked you and you felt fear. The gray color is your sadness at yourself for feeling so annoyed, the cat attacking you is you trying to stop yourself from getting so angry at your son.)
Both dreams indicate you are afraid of the feelings of anger and hatred within yourself. Calm down. It's all right, you are not the only one who gets fed up with a 4-year-old boy!
If the mess is too big every single day, reduce the mess he make by getting rid of extra stuff. If the noise he makes is too much, get rid of all the toys that make noise. Reduce your triggers that cause you to strike like that snake. Take your son for more walks, establish quiet times, allow him to play with only 3 toys at a time instead of 50, kick him outside when he wants to make noise, or take him to the park and let him shout all he wants while you wear headphones and listen to music.
It's hard to control that snake and that cat within you, but by reducing what triggers your annoyance and anger, you can calm down and relax and let your son be a kid while he is still a kid.
Good luck. It's possible.

I don't know what they mean, but when I had bad dreams to make them stop, Id close the door and closets doors before sleeping, Id ask god to deliver me from evil and if I start to have a bad dream I wake my self up by forcing my eyes open. Its hard to do but you can do it.
Sorry not to be anymore help. But even knowing what your dreams mean , wont make them go away.

the brain is a very complicated organ, when you go to sleep your mind thinks about all types of things, so really it could have been about anything you saw or thought about in your life
