I've never had a "wow" moment with God. You know, like where you can feel his presence. I want to have a relationship with God but even though I know He's real sometimes I have my doubts.

That's what everyone is looking for. That "WOW" moment when God just says, "HEY YOU! I'M HERE!"

But the truth is, God does things in his own time. The time will come, just keep praying that he will make his presence known in our life. And remember this. It is the times that you feel alone when God is really there the most. Sometimes we have to work solo. This is how God builds our strength and faith. Sometimes when I felt like God had completely abandoned me, He would bless me and without a shadow of a doubt I would know it was from Him (though scientists with blinders on their eyes would call it coincidence). One day I found I needed 1300 dollars for mortgage payment and I didn't have it. I worried myself sick. I prayed to god to help me. I even gave my ten percent at church even though I couldn't afford it, with faith that he would bless me. That next wednesday, I got a check in the mail from my company for backpay that they owed me on perdiem in the amount of 1400 dollars. Coincidence? ya right. This kind of stuff always happens when I find myself being faithful to God. If it is a miracle you seek then get this. Short and sweet...Fact: A friend was in ICU in trauma, unconscious due to car wreck. Church members were in waiting room. Stranger in Red shirt shows up and offers to pray with them. For hours this gentleman prayed with the members in the waiting room.. Different members claimed to have seen this man described the same way. One day, friend has code blue in ICU (dies) and nurses are pulling out the crash carts and such. This man shows up in the room and states that he is fine. It's not his time yet. He will live. The nurse asks him to leave the room that the situation is critical. Again, he says the man is fine. Seconds later, the friend's vitals return and he awakens. The nurse turns around and the man is gone. I worked at this hospital and I knew the nurse. All the people claimed to have seen this man. Here's the kicker. When my friend was moved out of the ICU, the church members talked to him about the man in the red shirt. My friend said, yeah I know, he was in the ICU the whole time praying with me. God is real. There are miracles everywhere if you look in the right place. And don't be discouraged. Those times when you can't feel him are okay. He's there. Letting you become stronger in your faith. Continue to pray and be faithful. Trust me. Like the old saying goes, "I would rather spend this life believing in the bible, than to die in disbelief and spend an eternity finding out the bible was right all along. What do you have to lose?

God is always all around you, even when you think you can't feel Him. Too often people get so caught up in looking for the "neon sign" that they forget to stop and truly listen. I often find that when I want to feel closer to God, I go someplace where I can be alone in the quiet and can appreciate nature. When I'm alone and contemplating all of the wonder that has been created around me, I feel an overwhelming sense of reassurance that He is with me. I wouldn't recommend praying in the conventional "Dear God, thank you for and I would like..." kind of way--just talk to Him, like you would a trusted friend. Or don't say anything--you'll know what you need to do in the moment.

Baby sitter, try this, next time when you go to pray. Find a nice quiet place in your house and play worship music. Just listen to it while you are praying and what will happen is the music will help set the atmosphere for the Presence of God you show up where your at. Suddenly, you will find yourself singing with the worship music and entering into worship. The place of worship is where the Presence of God will show up. Give it a try and tell me what happens.

first of find a church that you are comfortable with. there are some many out there. then start going. talk to the preacher and see if there is someone there that may act like a mentor. you have to talk to god and be able to hear with your heart. it may be something like giving someone some spare change. he talks just most of us don't listen. read your bible everyday. have you excepted Jesus into your heart? other words been baptized. that is a very important step to becoming a christian. if you speak and ask him to come he will. believe and you shall receive.
