It seems like we observe our environment through both perception and memory. So in essence as we see something, our brain is concurrently filling in the blanks with its own expectations. Is there a psychological term to describe this phenomenon?

Lately I seem to get quite irritated by the smallest of things. I' generally an easy going sort of person, but I just seem to get more frustrated with my uni housemates than normal. We didn't know each other before we moved in, but generally get on ok although I am not very close to them as we are different people. The more I live here the more frustated I seem to get. I always have to drive us to go food shopping as am the only one with a car, and it gets on my nerves that once we have shopped they both get a cigarette out and smoke. I don't smoke and don't like smokers in my car so find this very annoying as it only takes two minutes to drive home. They never consider if I'm in a rush or not. They didn't even say thank you for driving them today. It's just little things like this that get me a bit annoyed and the more I bottle it up the more frustrated I get. Am I wrong to get annoyed about these sorts of things?

There's 'service wife', 'soccer mom', 'single mom', 'housewife/homemaker', 'D.I.N.K', etc. etc. But there's nothing that denotes a woman who's married (with or without kids) and whose husband is on an extended business trip-- 'single mom' just isn't accurate. Granted, the wife/mom must do everything around the house as if she were single, but in this case she most certainly would NOT be. Any ideas?

Questions should preferably be on life situations, philosophy or even marketing but not on trignometry and stuff.

MY FIRST DREAM WAS ABOUT SOME ONE BREAKING INTO MY HOUSE AND MY FATHER AND UNCLE BEING SHOT, ASLO THE ROBBER WAS SHOOTING AT ME AND I WAS HIDING IN MY CAR. THE NEXT NIGHT I HAD ANOTHER DREAM ABOUT ME BEING IN A CAR ACCIDENT AND MY CAR SPINNING AROUND BUT I MANAGED TO CALL MY MOTHER AND TELL HER WHAT WAS HAPPENING. OF COURSE THESE DREAMS DID NOT HAVE AN ENDING, I JUST WOKE UP. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME SOME LIGHT ON THIS???

Everybody seems to gloss over this question and say stuff like "fed reserve is privately owned."

okay, I think everybody knows that now. My question is this:

Who is the federal reserve? If it is privately owned, than which privately owned institutions own or constitute the fed reserve? Is it the same with Bank of England?

If so, what happened. If not, is there any re-occuring dreams you tend to have, what are they?

SAYS THERE ARE VERY FEW SIDE EFFECTS. I DON'T WANT TO START THIS IF IT ISN'T GOING TO MAKE ME PRETTY CALM ALL THE TIME. I'M AN ANXIOUS PERSON. I CERTAINLY DON'T NEED ANYMORE ANXIETY. NOISES REALLY BOTHER ME AND MY KIDS GET UNDER ME WHEN I'M TRYING TO DO EVERYTHING & IT MAKES ME NERVOUS AND ANXIOUS. HOWEVER, I DO HAVE 2 SETS OF TWINS 19 MONTHS APART AND AM DIVORCED. I HAVE A SERIOUS BOYFRIEND BUT I AM THE ONLY ONE THAT TAKES CARE OF THEM.
