.....between Muslims, their allies and everyone else - you know - normal people that would rather go to Tescos on a Sunday - what will you be using a machine pistol and a rocket propelled grenade or a 4x2 and harsh language ? Eitherway, it's going to be good practice for all involved for the next big war around 2029 when according to perceived wisdom we will have reached what they euphamistcally call in computer circles The Singularity?

Did anyone see Horizon on BBC2 this week ?

Can anyone assure me with confidence this is not going to be the case ?

That's those of you of course who understand what I'm talking about in the first place?

Sorry to be a bit glib - but some of the answers I've been receiving recently tell me that people don't read questions properly most of the time ?

For example, would it then follow that people who are depressed will always be so, and people who are spoiled as children will be dismal adults, and that this is irrevocable?

since 99% are paid less than the world average, & wd therefore be paid more with justly limited fortunes & return of the overfortunes/overpay to the true owners/earners/workers/makers of it, can 99 peacefully prevent 1 from legal stealing? [a 99% majority is usually enough to get laws passed]

since the extreme overpay/underpay causes violence [war & crime], causing extremely lower quality of life [misery] for both robbers & robbed [rich & poor, 1% & 99%], & it can easily be shown to all that they ALREADY AGREE that this is so, & that the violence is escalative, & is close to consuming all, & that therfore it is extremely in EVERYONE'S SELFINTERESTS to move closer to what ppl consider & accept is justice/ nontheft/ noninjury/ fairpay - in short, that 100% of ppl will gain extremely in happiness from justice - can this change be made peacefully, with approval & support of virtually everyone, entirely by EDUCATION IN REALITY?

[cp the long-ago passing of law against murder]

Under a 'Big Brother' databases tax scheme covering home improvements, 'site positive' features like gardens, patios, conservatories, double glazing, scenic views, the number of bedrooms and parking spaces, will all qualify for higher tax bills. The information will be fed into a 'Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal' database - the same 'Big Brother' technology that has been bought for both England and Northern Ireland.

Labour is quietly pushing new laws through Parliament to give council tax inspectors in Northern Ireland the right to enter homes and fine householders up to £1,000 a time, plus up to £200 every day after that, if they do not allow the inspectors into their homes, or fail to 'assist' the tax snoopers when inside their properties.

People have condemned the Government as "greedy and oppressive" after plans emerged to give a new army of council tax inspectors powers to enter private homes and penalise residents who refuse to co-operate with fines of £1,000 or more.

Mentally - we have the power to change our thought processes, but sometimes our emotions get the best of us. What would you change about your character that you have a hard time doing?

Physically - seems like most people find more faults in their physical appearance than internal? Why is that when we have more power to change our character but yet most people spend more time on worrying about the outside? Anyways, what would you change about yourself physically?

Now the hard question. Why would you change these things?

I'm kind of stuck in a rut with career and academics. I currently have a BS in engineering and have considered returning to college to obtain my Masters degree. Maybe I'll go with an MBA, as it would coincide very nicely with my experience, however it is tempting to continue on with a MS in my engineering field. On the other hand, I could always take the state exam that will eventually lead to being licensed as a professional engineer. I'll just need to bone up on my mathematics, as it's been awhile since I was in school.

The problem is that I have difficulty in applying myself. It is unlikely that I'll ever advance in my current position, yet in order to receive a better job, I feel the need to improve myself. Any time that I attempt to focus or study, I start getting headaches and find that I'm unable to concentrate. I do have the intelligence to do either of these, but it seems that I no longer have the drive. Any suggestions?

My friend said she 'felt a presence' in her house that spooked her.

Why do you think people let their imaginations run away with themselves like that?
