A model aircraft flies in a circular horizontal path, held in place by a string or length, r. The tension on the string is F newtons when the aircraft flies at v metres per second. It takes one second to complete the circuit.

If the lenght of the srting is maintained at 3r, and the aircraft flies (again) with speed v, the what is the new tension in the string?

Newton states that bodies pull towards each other due to gravity. I want to know if a body's mass changes suddenly while in orbit, will its orbit deteriorate or will it simply adjust its orbit according to the new mass? How does this effect orbiting bodies that spin while in orbit such as Earth? If it were to be taken by a great impact, would it be possible to "knock" it out of orbit?

I have been obsessed with Nikola Tesla ever since my dad told me about him when I was about 10 he is undoubtabley the greatest free thinker that ever lived and if you dont know about him check out this link and give me your opinion and if you find him interesting introduce him to your children and friends and we can create a generation of free thinkers and inventors. Would that not be cool?"

A 110 pound man runs off a cliff going at .5 meters per second. The cliff is 43 meters tall. there is a ship 7 meters away from the base of the cliff. Also, as soon as he falls, there is a constant wind going at 30 miles per hour blowing at North 30 degrees West. How far away from the boat does the man land?

I need the answer in meters please. Some of the measurements provided are not using the metric system (i.e pounds and miles). This question is just taking me way too long.

A copper ring is oriented perpendicular to a uniform magnetic field. IF the ring is quickly moved in the direction opposit ( anti-parallel) to the magnetic field line, how will the magnitude of the net magnetic field in the center of the loop compare to the magnitude of the uniform field? Note that the net magnetic field in the center of the loop will equal the loop will equal the uniform field plus any induced magnetic field.

A. The net field will be greater than the uniform field.
B. The net field will be equal to the uniform field.
C. the net field will be less than the uniform field
D. there is no enough information to detrmin this

what im trying to say is it possible when someone's born that they create a distinct reality seprate from other reality's. and if that was true could our conciousness tap into all these realitys so we are real in each one and each one creates its own path. kinda like a tree. we started with the big bang and now we've branched out into other realitys where maybe the one we you where born into is the one that dictates what you are like in all the others? just a wierd thought i just had. what do you think.

also when i talk about conciousness im not talking about awareness. kinda how when you dream all sorts of wierd things happen and your concious of these things but not aware of the fact your dreaming so things kinda just happen according to your personality and how you might act in that situation. so when i say your conciousness might be tapping into all these other reallity's i dont mean you are aware of it. just that your conciousness is on a kinda auto pilot there.

okay so I am quoting this, " the filament resistance increases as the bulb gets hotter.".. I have found the resistance using the slope formula. when it was cool i calculated 36.25 ohms
when is was hot i got 25 ohms. my calculations seem wrong unless....the smaller number means more resistance.

. Two speakers are driven by the same oscillator with frequency of 220 Hz. They are located 5.00 m apart on a vertical pole. A man walks straight toward the lower speaker in a direction perpendicular to the pole, as shown below.
(a) How many times will he hear a minimum in sound intensity, and
(b) how far is he from the pole at these moments?
Take the speed of sound to be 343 m/s, and ignore any sound reflections coming off the ground?

The half-life of stationary muons is measured to be 1.6 microse3conds. Half of any initial number of stationary muons decays in one half-life. Cosmic rays colliding with atoms in the upper atmosphere of the Earth create muons, some of which move downward toward the Earth’s surface. The mean lifetime of downward muons in one such burst is measured to be 16 microseconds.

(a) Find the speeds of these muons relative to the Earth.
(b) Moving at this speed, how far will the muons move in one half-life?
(c) How far would this pulse move in one half-life if there were no relativistic time stretching?
(d) In the relativistic case, how far will the pulse move in 10 half-lives?
(e) An initial pulse consisting of 10^8 muons is created at a distance above the Earth surface given in part (d). How many will remain at the Earth’s surface?

Assume that the pulse moves vertically downward and none are lost to collisions. Note: 99% of the Earth’s atmosphere lies below 40 km altitude. Explain the answers
