My Tshirt I was wearing today was bright red. now its laying on the floor in the dark its a dark blacky brown colour...so..what is my t shirts true colour?

Light is the variable so if you take that away you are left with black. This implies that everything is actually black... confused.

A man drops a baseball from the edge of a roof of a building. At exactly the same time, another man pitches a baseball vertically up toward the man on the roof in such a way that the ball just barely reaches the roof. Does the ball from the roof reach the ground before the ball from the ground reaches the roof, or is it the other way around?

An object is in free fall as soon as it is released whether it is dropped from rest, thrown up, or thrown down so I believe they will touch the roof and the ground at the same time.

Any other suggestions?

An uncharged molecule of dna is 2.11 micrometers long. The ends of the molecule become slightly ionized so that there is a charge of -1.6 E -19 C on one end and 1.6 E -19 C on the other. The helical molecule acts like a spring and compresses 1.2% upon becoming charged. The value of Coulomb's constant is 8.98755 E 9 N-m^2/C^2 and the acceleration due to gravity is 9.8 m/s^2. Find the effective spring constant of the molecule. Answer in units of N/m.

I have struggled with this for like the whole weekend. Please Help!

is it possible that the neutron does have a charge but not positive or negative charge?
could it be the reason why electrons down spiral down into the nucleus?
could it be the reason why the nucleus doesnt break apart due to the closely back protons?
is it possible that there more to charge then the simple positive an negative?

this is just the bases of my idea/theory but if u would just tell me its wrong or its a possibility i would very grateful because its been bugging me for a while

my boyfriend and i were arguing about this (not really arguing about it, but more like debating.) and he claims that black is a color simply because when asked "what color are your sunglasses?" one would reply "black." And no one ever says "well actually, it is the absance of color."However, i believe that it is not a color due becuase black absorbs all colors. Nothing is reflected back into your eye. So technically you cant even SEE black...its just empty space. Also, black is NOT on the color wheel. Furthermore, when you close your eyes, you are blocking all color from entering your eye, and you see black. So...is black a color?

to demostrate it, we have been shown a round bottomed flask with several holes(4) and vertical tubes coming out of them in which intial water seeks its level....then there is a piston on the cork, which when we press, jets of water come out from the nozzels of the tubes ...the jets of water reache the same height...

i wanted to know....it is written in the book that 'jets of water will reach the same height'....HOW?....the pressure applied by the piston here has travelled throughout....but the mass in the lowest column(highest column) is much more ...than the mass in the other columns....so as f=ma...force = mass*acc;

thus,....the acceleration in the lower one shud be least and the acc in the highest (lowest heighted column) shud be most coz of mass.....so how can they reach the same height in the same time?

plz explain

2)Radio waves travel at the speed of light--300000 km/s. What is the wavelength of radio waves received at 700 MHz on your radio dial in m?
3)A mosquito flaps its wings 610 vibrations per second, which produces the annoying 610 Hz buzz. The speed of sound is 340 m/s. How far does the sound travel between wing beats? In other words, find the wavelength of the mosquito's sound in meters.
4)On a keyboard, you strike a note, which has a frequency of 260 Hz.
(a) What is the period of one vibration of this tone?

(b) As the sound leaves the instrument at a speed of 340 m/s, what is its wavelength in air?
m

Its a pendulum based desktop accessory, its usually 3-4 small metall balls hung by strings.
They are pendulum based but not single pendulum, they transfer force from one side to other side pendulum, and they bounce back and forth.
You see them in movies and its a lil hard to descirbe, but if anyone knows what im talking about please tell me what they are called and where i can buy one.

Thanx
