According to Einstine, since all motion is relative to something, it would logically follow that there must be a point in the universe that everything is relative to. Is there such a point, or was this idea disproven later on?

When I make a martini in my cocktail shaker I add ice, gin and vermouth. The ice is cold (naturally) but the gin and vermouth are at room temperature. The shaker is kept in the freezer already filled with ice - ready to go when I get home. I add the gin and vermouth as above, put on the lid and shake. Air pressure rises in the shaker as I do this, occassionally pushing off the lid slightly so contents are forced out with a hiss as the air is expelled. This seems contra-intuitive. Once would expect the air inside the shaker to be chilled by the shaking and the pressure to fall, sucking the lid on tighter. Why is it so?

A 100-kg block is pushed up a 30 degree incilne that is 10m long. If the coefficient of friction betweeen the block and the incline is 0.1, what is the constant force parallel to the incline that is required to move the block from rest at the bottom of the incline to the top in 3 seconds?

Okay; i am attempting to find Fn by using mgcos(theta)=(100)(9.81)cos(30)= 849.6N. Then i do f=(coeff. friction)(Fn)=(.1)(849.6)=84.95N.
Where am i going wrong here? I don't think i fully understand this problem at all. Please help me.

I went fishing the other day got bored and started musing. In certain cycles the moon causes the sea to rise due to the pull of it's gravity. I suppose that all things on earth would be pulled by this same force therefore weighing less during this same cycle.. Here's my plan---buy several tons of gold at high tide and sell at low tide when it would be heavier. Any of you potential investors see fault with this? I think I might start going to the meat market at high tide also.

For example, I want to let my son play outside and told him not to leave my property, say about a 100 yard radius. Does a product exist where I could clip on a transmitter to his belt and it would trigger a base unit to beep if he went outside the 100 yard radius?
