Why is it hard to keep the bike upright when standing still and effortless when going forward. And the faster you're going the easier it becomes.
I don't see why angular momentum, angular acceleration, or speed would affect that.

Deepest point of the ocean is the Mariana Trench with 10,911 m (35,797 feet) below sea level. Assume the cannon ball is perfectly round and weights 30 pounds = 13.6 kg. Make reasonable assumptions for friction coefficients, floating forces and other parameters.
Just to be clear....I don't know the answer myself but would like to know it :-)

How is it possible to have zero rest mass particles?

Surely if a particle exists its MUST have mass?

If it did not how could it affect things around it?

Surely this doesnt make sense?

Could you also state your sources? So I can tell the guessers from the professors?

Thanks!

If things that reach the speed of light cease to exist, due to their size and mass becoming zero, how is it that light still exists?

Why is it that if light can reach the speed of light nothing else is allowed to?

Why is it that the speed of light is given as one speed when it clearly isnt as red/blue shift seen in stars prove?

Why is it that we, today, still refuse to beleive that experiments with light speed are, currently, impossible to do accurately enough to guage light speed correctly?

Lets get a debate going about true light theory not held down by ancient theory and hero worship!

Discuss!

Consider a gas of N identical spin-0 bosons confined by an isotropic three-dimensional harmonic oscillator potential. The energy levels in this potential are e=nhf, where n is any nonnegative integer and f is the classical oscillation frequency. The degeneracy of level n is (n+1)(n+2)/2.

(a) Find a formula for the density of states, g(e), for an atom confined by this potential.

(b) Find a formula for the condensation temperature of this system in terms of the oscillation frequency f.

(c) This potential effectively confines particles inside a volume of roughly the cube of the oscillation amplitude. The oscillation amplitude, in turn, can be estimated by setting the particle's total energy (of order kT) equal to the potential energy of the "spring". Making these associations, and neglecting all factors of 2 and pi and so on, show that your answer to part (b) is roughly equivalent to the formula for the condensation temperature of bosons confined inside a box with rigid walls.

Since gravity is a property of matter, like inertia, it stands to reason that if a substantial amount of anti-matter were produced, anti-gravity should also be a property. But the mass of the Earth would be considerably more than the anti-gravity produced from anti-matter (In I would bet the next 100 years). So my question is: If there could be no inter-action of matter/anti-matter, and there was a person of my similar mass (6', 210#) that was made of matter on an anti-matter world, would he float in the air above ground? Keep in mind that a person of my similar mass is held down by gravity here due to the size differnce of me vs. the Earth, but the 'anti-gravity' of an anti-matterworld will FAR exceed the amount of matter that's contained in a mass of my size.

Explaine the process... please

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band generated top revenue on the concert circuit in 2003. Springsteen and second-place Celine Dion together took in $196.4 million from ticket sales. If Celine Dion took in $35.4 million less than Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, how much revenue did each generate?

Additional Details

the problem states "If Celine Dion took in $35.4 million L-E-S-S than Bruce and the E STreet band" howcome there is no negative..in the equation..i am a little bit confuse....about that..

We know cats always land on their feet when they jump from a high place. We know a buttered piece of bread always fallls butter-side-down. NOW, if we strap a piece of buttered bread to the back of a cat, and it jumps from a high place (not hurting itself), which would land first, the cat's feet or the buttered bread? I LOVE CATS & I HAVE ONE AS A PET so don't get me wrong on this question. Besides, this and other questions are an introduction to the Gospel of John (not part of), the New Living Translation.
