where t is greater than or equal to 0.

a. What is the average velocity of the particle on the interval [3, 6] ?

b. Find c in [3, 6] so the velocity at c is equal to the average velocity you found in the pervious question.

c.When is the particle's acceleration positive? negative?

d. When is the particle speeding up? slowing down?

T(x,y) = (x^2, y)
Using the fact that T(u + v) = T(u) + T(v) must hold for it to be a linear operator, I reasoned that this transformation is not a linear operator. However, I would like confirmation on this simply because my prof is horrible and I do not know if I applied the property correctly.

4x^2 + 9y^2 - 8x + 36y + 4 = 0
I know I have to move the 4 over
4x^2 + 9y^2 - 8x + 36y = -4
And then factor:
4(x^2 - 2x) + 9(y^2 + 4y) = -4
and find (-2/2)^2 & (4/2)^2 = 1 & 4 (add to left side and 4 & 36 to the right).

Where do I go from here and how to I find the center, foci, major & minor axis?

I really appreciate ANY help.
Thank you very much and Merry Christmas!

So I was trying to use the derivative of y=3x^2, which is y'=6x. Plug x=2 into that so the slope at x=2 is 12. I actually have no clue if that's right or not. Anyway, I'm pretty clueless after that anyway... thanks for the help in advance.
