-x^3 - x

If the prob is find
f (x + (triangle symbol)x) - f(x) for
f(x) = 2x^2 + 3x + 1

Do I plug in the f(x) equation (2x^2 + 3x + 1) every time I see an 'x' in the equation f (x + (triangle symbol)x) - f(x)?

A quadratic function, p(x)= Ax^2+Bx+C, is called a quadratic approximation of the function F for values x values near a, provided that the following three conditions are met;

F(a)=p(a)
F prime(a)=p prime(a)
F double prime(a)=p double prime(a)

For values of x near a=0, find a quadratic polynomial,
p(x)= Ax^2+Bx+C, that is a quadratic approximation for the function F(x)= e^(-x^2).

1. (3x^2 +2x-1) ^1/2 (square root, but i can't express it)
_________________
2^x +x

....i go to use the quotient rule but i'm not sure if you have to factor the top at some point or what happens with the variable in 2^x

2. (ax+b) (x^3 + 1/2x^2 +2logx) where a and b are constants.
....no idea on this one.

3. 1/ 3(2x-1)^2 +2^5x
....what happends with 2^5x, do you just find the derivative of the first part thenadd its derivative on to that?

Thank you, I appreciate this more than you'll ever know!!!

The problem is:

solve A = B^2 - 4B for B.

I got B = the square root of (A+4B).
is that the simplest form? because it seemed just too easy to get that answer.

I figured I could also try to get B in simplest form by working with the 4B and not the B^2. When I did that I got
B = (B^2 - A) / 4

Which one is the right answer? Or are both wrong?
Thanks.

Im Solving a word problem that only has the three sides of the triangle and Im using law of cosines to find the angle of one side, is it possible for me to use law of sines after that? or do I hafta continue using law of cosines?

Ex: Side a=153
Side b= 175
Side c= 201

I just found the measure of angle A through the law of cosines and it is: 47.405 degrees

So can i use law of sines? or do i continue using law of cosines?

(a) f(x) is continuous at x=1
(b) f(x) is discontinuous at x=1
(c) f(x) is unbounded
(d) lim f(x)=infinite as |x| goes to infinite
