points a (2,5) and b (7,8) lie on a line. what is the equation of the line in standard form { ax + by = c } ?

any general formula?

All i know is that "product of all factors" of N = (a^b) x (c^d) x ... = a^(1+2+...b) x c^(1+2+...d) x ....

Any similar thing to find "sum of all factors"?
Thank you.

Okay...I have this problem that I need help on solving...

1. a) Use rectangles to estimate the area under the curve y=x^(2) + 1, using 4 rectangles. Do so using the left endpoint of each interval.

b) Is your estimate an "overestimate" or an "underestimate" of the true area underneath the curve y= x^(2) + 1?

c) Determine the "actual area" under the curve y=x^(2) + 1 by evaluating the integral on the interval [0,1].

If anyone can...Please help me...Thanks in advance...

[ -1 5 9 -7 ]
[ 2 1 6 0 ]
[ 1 2 -4 8 ]

The question states tat I need to use gaussian elimination to calculate the determinant of the matrix.

This is what I get for the reduced matrx ( I cant seem to go any further )

[ 2 1 6 0 ]
[ 0 11/2 12 -7]
[ -3 0 -16 8 ]

Now how does this allow me to find the determinant more easily ? Thanks for your help
