I did this a while ago, but I forgot everything about it.

(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

or

(4-2)/(3-1). 2/2 or 1. 1 is your slope.

Well if you want to find the distance between those points you would use,

I will be using a x^1/2 as a square root symbol because technically it is.

x^1/2 this encompasses the whole formula

x^1/2 (x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2

that is distance

if you want the slope you would plug the two formulas in like this

4-2 / 3-1 which equals 1
If you want slope formula just plug in the points like so and solve for y.

(1,2)
m being slope which is 1
y - y1 = m(x - x1)

y - 2 = 1(x-1)
y = x + 1

I don't even know what you wanted but I hope I helped somewhat.

change in y from 2 to 4, 2
change in x from 1 to 3, 2
slope 2/2 = 1
plugging in (3,4)
y - 4) = 1(x - 3)
y = x - 3 + 4
y = x + 1

first find slope rise over run do 4-2 over 3-1 so slope is 1 and the y intercept is when x =0 so subtract 1 from x and y from (1,2) to get (0,yintercept) which is (0,1) so the equation is y=x+1

point slope formula
y - y1 = m(x-x1)
so find m
(4-2)/(3-1) = 1
y-3 = 1(x-1)
y = x+2

(y-y1)/(y1-y2)=(x-x1)/(x1-x2)..put the values.......
y1=2
y2=4
x1=1
x2=3
y-2/2-4=x-1/1-3
y-2=x-1...
...answer........y=x+1.
