I take pride in figuring out problems by myself, but these two darned questions have me stuck.

I know that sin 2x = 2sinxcosx and the basics, but I can't seem to reduce these problems in the right way:

sin2x/sinx - cos2x/cosx = secx

sin (x+y) cos (x-y) + cos (x+y) sin (x-y) = sin2x

please show how you got these, in case I run into similar ones. thanks tons!

A jet plane is flying at a constant altitude. At time t1 = 0 it has
components of velocity v{x} = 88 m/s, v{y} = 111 m/s.
At time t2 = 29.0 s the components are v{x} = 175 m/s, v{y} = 45 m/s.

For this time interval calculate the average acceleration.
Give your answer as a pair of components separated by a comma. For example, if you think the x component is 3 and the y component is 4, then you should enter 3,4. Express your answer using two significant figures.

Find the magnitude of the average acceleration.

Find the direction of the average acceleration (let the direction be the angle that the vector makes with the +x-axis, measured counterclockwise).

A rhinoceros is at the origin of coordinates at time t1=0. For the time interval from t1 to t2 = 12.5 s, the rhino's average velocity has x-component -3.5 m/s and y-component 4.9 m/s.

at time t2= 12.5 s what is the x-coordinate of the rhino?
At time t2= 12.5 s what is the y-coordinate of the rhino?
How far is the rhino from the origin?
