Please show a DETAILED process of how to simplify this exponent... since i dont quite understand how to do it.

note: ^9 = 'to the power of 9'. therefore, 4^9 means 4 to the power of 9, etc.

4a^7 * b^-9 * c^-3

[x+1- (6/x)] / [x + 5 + (6/x)] . I already know the answer but when i tried doing it i got x( x+7)/ x(x+11) which is not even close to the answer. Please help me by explaining the steps/ process of working this problem.

1. Let f(x)=x^3-6x^2+x+4 and g(x)=x^5-6x+1 be polynomials in Q[x].

(a) Determine all greatest common divisors of f(x) and g(x)

(b) Let d(x) be that greatest common divisor of f(x) and g(x), in which the coefficient of the highest power of x equals 1. Determine s(x), t(x) E Q[x] such that d(x)=s(x)f(x)+t(x)g(x).

(NOTE: E means 'Element Of')

2. List all polynomials of degree 4 in Z(subscript 2)[x] and express them as products of irreducible polynomials in Z(subscript 2)[x].

3.The polynomials x^3+2x^2+2x+1 can be factored into linear factors (i.e written as a product of polynomials of degree 1) in Z(subscript 5)[x]. Find this factorisation.

In a zoology journal I read recently, I came across this statement: "The area of the outer circle was 3 times larger than that of the inner circle."

It was also given that the radius of the outer circle was 100 m while the radius of the inner circle was 50 m.

I tried verifying this using the equation: Ao/Ai=3 (Ao=area of outer circle, Ai = area of inner circle). But instead of getting the expected answer of 3, I got 4 instead. I suspect that there was something in the statement that made things quite confusing.

So I ask you, what did the statement mean? And what was the equation that was used for the said statement? I hope you can reply ASAP.

I am currently in modern algebra, or also known as contemporary/abstract algebra.

The question is short and simple, but I have absolutely no clue how to approach this problem.

Question: Give an example of a group with 105 elements. Give two examples of groups with 44 elements.

How do I go about this? Can I just name a set and list 105 elements? That seems absurd. I really need help. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
