The Pizza Palace found some pre-inflation menus. An 8" pizza was only $0.85 and a medium pizza was $1.15. The equation for this quadratic function is p = d2 - 3d + 45

Suppose the menu listed a "Colossal pizza" for $6.00. What would the diameter of that pizza be?

1. Which of the following statements about parallel lines is NOT correct?

Parallel lines have the same slope

Parallel lines do not intersect ever.

Parallel lines have one point in common and thus have only one solution.

Parallel lines are an equal distance apart at all times.

2. Which of the following equations represent perpendicular lines?

y = ½x + 3
y = -2x - 2

y = 2x + ¼
y = 2x - 4

y = 2x + 4
y = ½x - 2

2x + 3y = 6
-½x + 4y = 8

3. 6x - 2y = 24
The slope of this line is _____?

4. 6x - 2y = -24
The y-intercept of this equation is ____?

5. y = -½x + 4
A line that is perpendicular to this line would have a slope equal to ____?

6. y = 4x - 2
A line that is parallel to this line would have a slope of ______?

7. Perpendicular lines have negative reciprocal slopes, so if one line has the slope of ¼, the other line will have the slope equal to -4
true or false?
