what is the volume of the boat?

what in grams will sink it to the half way point?

is the wieght in grams needed to sink it halfway the same as half the volume?

Please clarify! if these are 2 separate boats then just add the volumes.

next, which dimensions are on the surface of the water.

the only answer that can be given correctly from the info you gave is part 3. if boat is floated in fresh water that has a density of 1gm/cm^3 then yes 1/2 the volume = grams necessary to push the boat into the water by half its height. because it has to displace the same amount of water as the added weight.
