My summer hw is going over quadratic equations and this was one of them but I got stuck...
I thought I'd make
a=x^2
b=4x
c=3
but that made it worse!
Can anyone help me? You don't need to do it for me, but any hint will help! Thanks!

Given the infinite series Σ (1/n^k) where n = 1 to infinite, if k = 1 + 1/x, for large x show that the sum asymptotically equals x. In the case of x = infinity, then we have the classic series Σ (1/n) which does not converge.

When dividing rational expressions, how do you know what x CANT BE? HELLP FINALS TOMORROW!!!?
okay for example,

x^2+5x+10/x+6 DIVIDED BY x^2+6x-36/ x-2

okay so, i know that i flip the second fraction so the two fractions are multiplied, but BEFORE I FLIPP IT, is the x-2 on the denominator supposed to be like x cant be 2..? or do you only do the "x cant be _" after you flip the second fraction?

The problem is long and tough to type, so please bear with me. I hope the message gets across:

[1/(a1*an)] + [1/(a2*an - 1)] + ... + [1/(an * a1)] ..... (1)

[2(a1 + an)][(1/a1) + (1/a2) + (1/a3) ... + (1/an)] ..... (2)

If a1, a2, a3, a4 .... , an -1, an are in AP, prove that (1) = (2)

If the proof is tough to type or too long, mail me here:

Find the value of the standard normal random variable z, called z(sub)0 [z_0] such that:

P(z (is less than or equal to z_0 ) = 0.6279
I got z_0: .325 by looking up value on a chart.

P(-z_0 less than or equal to] z [less than or equal to] z_0 ) = ?

Not sure how to go about this, tried about a million different ways.

Also,

P(-z_0 [less than or equal to] z [less than or equal to] 0 ) = 0.2671
z_0 =

b)Using you tree diagram, or otherwise, calculate the probability that the two faces are different colours

How Would I solve and find the answer? The tree diagram that i am supposed to represent the situation on is here:
