The number has to be between 11 and 99 to meet the two digits criterion.

Since it has to be 3 less than a multiple of 10, it has to end in a 7.

Since it has to be 2 more than a perfect square, the perfect square has to end in a 5. Since multiples of 5 end in either a 5 or a 0, among such squares,

15, 20, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90 and 95 are ruled out as perfect squares. So,

17, 37, 47, 57, 67, 77, 87 and 97 do not meet the last critierion.

That leaves 27 as the number meeting all the criteria.

A multiplede? That's a new one. If the number is 3 less than a multiple of 10, it must end with 7. If it is 2 more than a perfect square, the perfect square must end in 5. The only two digit number that meets these criteria is 27.

Well, the only perfect squares of less than 3 digits are
1,4,9,16,25,36,49,64, and 81.

So add 2 to each of those, and see which one ends in 7 (since all multiples of 10, less 3, end in 7).

Shouldn't take you long....

it is less than the multiple of 10 . . . its the 20
the nearest perfect square is 16 so plus 2 is 18
It has two digits .... 18 has two digits
