We are using a bi-color SMD LED blue/red (link below) and the idea is that the LED will always light blue until a switch is thrown then the blue will cease and the LED will illuminate RED. Will a transistor do this? if so which type?

You cook a meal in a 30 cm diameter pot.
The total mass of the pot and the food is 8 kg.
You let the food cool to 20 deg C.
Assuming that the lid is well fitting, no air enters the pot during the cooling period.

when you pull up on the lid, is the lid going to open or is the pot going to get stuck to the lid?

Can two bolts at both sides be used instead of an axle in a roller drum? The current setup has two ball bearings mounted on a stepped axle on both the sides of the drum. Will the two bolts setup damage the bolts or the drum? Is there a reason why an axle is used instead of bolts? Only reason I can think of is to ease removal of the bearings using the stepped part of the axle. If somebody can provide a explanation with a diagram of pressure points etc that be great. You can email me at khurdp at yahoo.

thank you,
Prasad

Okay, I'm doing research for a script I'm writing. In the script, a girl is hooked up to a pair of jumper cables (the other half hooked up to a running car) and electrocuted.

Is this even possible? I'd like to know why or why not please. The more specific the answer, the more likely I'll give it a Best Answer.

I got into IIT-Roorkee for Mechanical Engineering.

BITS, Pilani has copied the trend of IIT entrance exams.
Earlier, there was no BITSAT. Now, there is. I don't know, what is it with my dad. He's BITS Alumni. He's not happy.

I hate it. I say BITS sucks a big time and IIT rocks. BITS is there because it's been there since 1929, otherwise it's nothing, I say.....nothing.

why is my alternator (PMA) not keeping up with the load and letting my battery run down? I have a 48 volt system and I'm useing a 48 volt permenant magnet alternator unregulated direct to the battery. It takes 51 volts to charge but I'm running it between 53 to 60 volts to get these voltages I'm running at 2700 to 3000 RPM at the PMA, so far so good. According to the power curve chart at that RPM it should produce 75 AMPS. My load is 30 AMPS but it only produces 17 AMPS and I can't figure why. Why is the PMA not meeting the demand and how do i fix it? I have tried other alternators and they have a larger AMP deficit than this one. I need a fundamental reason why its not working. All the batteries, cables, and connectors are new. I've tested the RPMS the volts the AMP load and the AMP output from 4 different alternators. My PMA is producing power but will not meet demand by an average of 17 AMPS. Why?
