I've invented a simple way of converting with no tools, any upright vacuum cleaner that takes bags (working on bagless design) to a dust-free, bag-free, and FILTER-free! system.
Without giving up the ghost, it has one thing that needs to be done at each use which requires a simple 'less than a minute' procedure. This is it's only negative, but in my observation it is actually a positive because it 'makes the vac owner take care of the vac. As opposed to neglecting it. After all it is the neglect that ultimately ruines a vacuum cleaner.

Have an old PC switching power supply with a component labeled DA1 in its circuit board. Can anyone tell me what it is? It looks like a glass enclosed, small signal diode but with only a black band around its middle, not at one end such as a diode would have. I assume it's not a diode as elsewhere on the board there are other components I see as diodes which have a marking band around only one end, they are labeled D1, D2, D3, etc., and the board markings indicate which way these parts should be oriented on the board. The markings for DA1 do not indicate any such orientation, as would be necessary if it were some kind of diode. Might anyone know what this part is?

The switching supply seems to work only every umpteenth time power is applied to it, and the DA1 component's location in the circuit appears related to the main switching circuit's initial starting drive for before the main regulation pulse width feedback loop gets going. Identifying its function seems important.

We can create AC from DC - the best example is House hold Inverters. We can inturn create DC from AC- Best example is mobile phone charger producing 15 v for ex. So why cant we generate Continuous AC for our house hold equipments and loop the same power needed for generating AC. Just we can loop back DC and generate AC. We have optimum power booster circuits which requires little power to run and boost the input voltage to a max level. Then we can convert to AC again. A little AC can be used to generate DC as a back loop input. So we can get a continous source of electricity for the whole house. Why cant any scientist do this? I am from electronics and comm engineer. But i cant design a machine. But why cant others? We have so many scientist in this world. WHy nobody tried it?

I hav studied that we can convert a DC to AC. But for perfect AC we need a rotor to rotate around a magnetic field and thus we get AC.There are generators which run on diesel/ fuels in general. We hav Invertors which convert DC to AC depending on their capacity. So why nobody created a equipment which can generate AC without any continuous source like fuels/ Battery. My question is very clear. Is it not possible to create a POWER PRODUCING MACHINE which can GENERATE POWER FROM DIESEL IN THE BEGINNING TO START / BATTERY TO START AND THEN CONTINUOUSLY PRODUCE AC.Just looping the power generated by the generator to AN ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT so that it gets the power and so it can generate more power needed for a full house.Making it a loop.Getting power AS INPUT AND Generating ELECTRICITY.If we have this kind of machine then we dnt need to pay government for the electricity.we dnt need to burn so much coal. If we didnt burn coal for electricity then we can save atmosphere too.Y NOBODY DID THIS?
