I'm not up on electric technology, but I do know that transformers up the something involving electricity, and I was wondering if there was anyway you could take a small amount of power and convert it into a larger amount

According to Nicholi Tesla, I heard that if high voltage AC frequency is high enough, it will not electrocute you (even if the voltage is high). How high does this frequency have to be minimum in order for it to not electrocute you (considering your grounded and touch the live wire for a brief moment.)?

Im trying to choose a set of gears for a transmission system but need to ensure that the they can withstand the torque that will be applied to them. I have a chosen gear ratio, and am attempting to choose the gears according to max torque values given in a catalogue. however in the catalogue, a torque value is given to a set of gears under the title 'torque check (50 teeth x 1000rpm)'. What does this mean and how can I apply it to a particular gear to determine whether it will withstand the torque i will be applying to it?
