Engineering - January 2007

Im looking for a good web site that offers tutorials or another visual depiction of what is going on. A friend of mine took a class over the summer and made some pretty cool stuff. Im not looking for "put the led on the bettery and tape together" kind of thing. I want something that might be able to get me somewhere involving soldering and circuit boards.

I'm figuring how much carpet I will need to recarpet an outer hallway around the outside of a building. I have a measurement of 240 approxiamately for the outside and it measures 205 around the inside wall, and its only 6 feet wide. I'm goin braindead here.......Help!

Like a surface mount 100 K resistor replaced by a 1/4 watt resistor. It is equivalent by elementary electronics but is it in practice ? The same question for capacitors.

does anyone here know a site where i could find circuit diagrams that uses 4 op-amps? most of the schematics i found only uses 1-3 op-amps. i prefer those projects that have LEDs in them. they're more fun to make. hehehehe
