A ton is a measure of mass. A Newton is a measure of force.

1 ton = 907 kg and gravitational force, g = 9.8 m / sec²
Force exerted by 1 ton = F = 907 x 9.8 N
F = 8889 N

Assume force to be acting on an area of 1ft²
1ft² = 0.093 m²

pressure = force / area = 8889 / 0.093 N/m² = 95581 N/m²

Hope above may be of use---see what you think.
