here at work we have many light poles around the parking lot, one of them has been moving back and forth. There is no wind, I dont think there is an earthquake, this is the second day that we have noticed it and no news about an earthquake. There are no alchol involved, no drugs and alot of other guys have seen it so I know I am not seeing things.

So, what can this be, can it be to do with weather, aliens, we are stumped, please help me make my co-workers yahoo-answer believers

Water feels wet because it is highly evaporative. When you get out the shower, you feel cold even on a warm day because the water starts evaporating imeediately. Evaporation sucks heat out of you.

That is what feels wet.

I have bathed in persian Gulf on a humid day, when water temperature is near skin temperature. If you walk very slowly so as not to splash and close your eyes, you cannot tell when you are in ankle deep water. That is because there is no evaporation and the water is not cooling you at all.

Then water does NOT feel wet.

For me, it was a trip to the Cascades where I got to hike to the top and INSIDE Mt. St. Helens. It was amazing to see lots of strange springs and shear cliffs in material my age. Death Valley, Italy, and Glacier NP were also great. Anyone else been on great trips? What did you see?

I live on a moutain in the french pyrenees and I quite often I am hearing a vibration or "hum" which varies in intensity and comes and goes.I hear it near my house and in many locations on the mountain.Sometimes it is intense and feels like it is a bee buzzing around my head. Most people cant hear it at all only occasionally does somene else hear it but so far never at the same intensity as me!
The mountain is exremely quiet and we are a long way from roads and industry etc.I can only think that maybe the mountain is vibrating or making some noise for some reason.

My money is on the ruination of our planet over time and the use of all its resources. We will end up with a barren lifeless planet.
