In Rome I think... it killed all those people & people didn't expect it... It hadn't erupted in so many years & surprised many... I think it was in Peru or something. What's the name?

Vesuvius and Etna are in Italy - but I'm guessing you are referring to Krakatoa (near Indonesia I think)

Yes it is Vesuvius as a few people have already mentioned. Funny thing about that eruption though is only one person that survived. He was in jail which was below ground so it then begs the question wheter or not crime does pay!!!

Krakatoa:Krakatau erupted in 1883, in between the biggest eruptions in modern-day time. Krakatau is an island volcano alongside the Indonesian arc, between the plenty bigger islands of Sumatra and Java
