The richest soils are usually volcanic. That is why so many people live on volcanoes; they farm the land and deal with the risk.

Some of the richest soil in the world is in the Mississippi delta. I also heard that the Moon soil brought back by the Apollo astronauts is also very fertile for growing plants. What exactly is your question?

Alluvial soil and loess soil are very rich. Alluvial soil is deposited by water. It is the type of soil located in the Mississippi Delta. Loess soil is deposited by wind.
