When I burn sugar, it leaves behind what I thought was carbon. But when I try to find a balanced equation for sugar combustion, it's usually this:

C12H22O11 + 12 O2 ---------> 12 CO2 + 11 H2O

and there is no C on its own. Is this because if I kept burning the sugar, or was burning at a higher temperature, it would be completely converted to water and CO2?

Nitrogen monoxide is reduced by hydrogen to give water and nitrogen.
2H2+2NO ---->N2 + 2H2O
one possible mechansim for this reaction is a sequence of three elementary steps.
step(fast) 2NO <-----> N2O2
step2(slow) N2O2 + H2------> N2O + H2O
step3(fast) N2O + H2 ----> N2 + H2O

Please derive the rate law for this reaction.
[I know that the answer is k=[NO2]^2[H2] but I need to know how to derive this thanks]

ok. so in our lab, we mixed together Ba(NO3)2 with Na2CrO4.
the balanced equation is this:
Ba(NO3)2 (aq) + Na2CrO4 (aq) -> BaCrO4 (s) + 2NaNO3 (aq)

what's the complete ionic equation?
i got:
Ba 2+ (aq) + 2 NO - (aq) + 2Na + (aq) + CrO4 2- -> Ba 2+ (aq) + CrO4 2- (s) + 2Na + (aq) + 2NO3 - (aq)

is that right?
what's the net ionic equation for this?
cuz i'm not really sure..
