For example CHCL3 or Ethanol or SF4...ya know, solvents and solutes and stuff like that?

gosh...I hope im making sense... :p

For example one of my probs. was to circle the solute that will dissolve to a greater extent at room temp.

solvent: Water (H2O)
solute choices: CHCL3 or CCl4

Question: Determine the average molarity of the [unknown] acid solution by using the difference in volume of NaOH added between the first inflection point (i'm guessing they're talkin bout the equivalence point) and the seconf inflection point??

btw...this is a titration lab and i have to try and identify the unknown acid, which *hint* is a polyprotic acid....i just don't have a clue where to start...what equation should i, could i use? ANY IDEAS!! whatever you have...help!

..................... |
..............(Benzene)

Any ideas, if so could you run through how you got it that way? Thanks a million.

How would one (in theory) be able to verify or test to determine the monoprotic or diprotic nature of an unknown acid without a pH probe for a titration (assuming the acid is not any other polyprotic)?

This is probably one of those "duh" questions, but I can't think of anything.
