If K=47.6 for 4AB -> 2A2 + 4B, then for A2 + 2B -> 2AB, K=
a. 47.6
b. -0.145
c. 6.90
d. 2.63.
e. 0.145
f. 3.24

Now, the second equation is half of the first one and reversed. So I have taken half of 47.6 and obtained it's inverse which=.0420. I've done several other methods and I don't get any answer from above. Can anyone offer me some insight? Thanks.

Calculate the enthalpy change of the following reaction between nitrogen gas and oxygen gas, given thermochemical equations 1, 2 ,and 3 .

2N(2) + 5 0(2) ----->2H(2)0(5) AH = ?

1. 2H(2) + 0(2) ------>2H(2)0 AH = -572 kj/mol
2. N(2)0(5) + H(2)0 ---> 2HNO(3) AH = -77 kj/mol
3. 1/2 N(2) + 3/2 0(2) + 1/2 H(2) ---->HNO(3) AH = -174 kj/mol

Additional Details

Thanks for answering , and I follow u up to that point..I know what to do with equations #2 and #3 ... but I'm not sure what to do to equation #1 and why ?? How do i figure that out..I want to multiply it all by 5 , but this doesnt seem right ....help ! thanks

Since ammonia turns red litmus blue, it must have alkaline properties.

Hence, why are ammonium salts (which should also have alkaline properties since ammonia does) reactive with alkalis to product ammonia etc.

If it is nitrogen, then why does the Haber Process go through the trouble of making it into ammonia?
