BINARY COMPOUNDS:
A compound which consists of 2 elements is called a binary compound.
Eg:Water-H2O
Water contains two elements ie hydrogen and oxygen.So,it is a binary compound

BINARY IONIC COMPOUNDS:
A salt consisting of two elements in which both elements are ions(cations and anions)is called a binary ionic compound.
Eg:NaCl
NaCl has Na which is +vely charged and Cl which is -vely charged.
