Is an Agricultural Technician the same thing as a farmer?

I have seen alot of sites saying it is but then i saw like 2 that described it differently so im kind of second guessing myself.

No, the farmer can be a business man who manages the farm. sells the produce, pays the hired help, replace worn out machines. The ones who do the actual reaping and sowing are the Agricultural technicians
