This is for extracting various alcohols and water from a solution without having to maintain the solution at a very high temperature. I think it might be less energy intensive this way, but I have no data on energy needed to maintain a vaccum. What is the wattage on some of the pumps able to do this? Could it be cost prohibitive compared to just boiling at full temp?

I know basic chemistry, but help me out with this one. On the Periodic Table of Elements, there are several elements which are artificially produced. An element is the most basic, simple thing. So how can one create a new one working only with existing elements? Also, why are some listed on the Table, though they are noted as "Not Yet Produced". How can they even be on the Table if they don't exist?

How would I calculate the final temperature of a mixture made up initially of 70.0 mL liquid water at 28.0 degrees C and 5.0 g ice at 0.0 degrees C?

You don't have to figure out the problem for me, I'm just trying to figure out what formula to use so I can solve it. Thanks!

A sample of a mixture containing only sodium chloride (NaCl) and potassium chloride (KCl) has a total mass of 4.000g. When this sample is dissolved in water and excess silver nitrate is added a white precipitate (AgCl) forms. After filtration and drying, this precipitate had a mass of 8.5904g. Calculate the mass percent of each component in the mixture.
