1. the electron cloulds have a very defined negative charge that causes them to repel one another.

2. The electron coulds are arranged in a manner that maximizes their bond angles and distances.

3. The electron clouds in a trigonal bipyramid are all at right angles to one another in order to maximize their bond angles and distances.

4. Electron clouds in a molecule that has an SN value of 6 are all at right and maximum angles to one another

NO! I DON'T RECCOMEND!
And I don't need to know myself to "pass" anything.
But, I've heard it sooo many times by individuals who do, and I just can't see it working much less being very safe.
What do you think?

I need to calculate the volume of hydrogen gas penerated when 3 mL of a 1M sodium borohydride reacts with conc. HCL. and then calculate the volume of hydrogen that can be liberated by reacting 1 g of zinc with acid. and write a balanced equation for the reaction of sodium borohydride with platinum chloride.

1. Liquids generally have lower density compared to their solid state. Then why does ice float on water?

2. Why does an air cooler cool better on a hot, dry day?

Please answer the above keeping in ming that my school follows the 9th standard CBSE portions and that I have a science exam tomorrow.

The answers to these two in the previous question didn't seem too clear.

N2O4(g) <-> 2NO2(g)

The forward reaction involves breaking the N-N bond and is endothermic. If the temperature of a system at equilibrium is raised, willl the intensity of the brown color increase, decrease, or remain unchanged?

I think this has something to do with Le Chatelier's Principle, but I still can't determine the answer. Thanks for the help everybody! Oh and please don't answer if you can't answer the question :)

The standardization of NaOH(aq) using potassium hydrogen phthalate (abbreviated KHP, molar mass 204.22 g/mol,
The titration of acetic acid(aq) with the standardized NaOH(aq).

You will dissolve 0.30 g of KHP in 20 mL of water and titrate with the NaOH. To the nearest mL, calculate the volume of NaOH expected assuming that the NaOH concentration is ~0.1 M.

Ksp for calcium phosphat is 1 x 10-33. The Ksp for CaF2 is 4 x 10-11. Ka for HF is 7.1 x 10-4. Ka for HPO42- is 1.7 x 10-12. In the elimination test, CaF2 precipitates from acetic acid, not Ca3(PO4)2. Offer an explanation for this behavior.

If I have 6.0004 g salicylic acid and 8mL acetic anhydride, what is the theoretical yield of Aspirin (in grams)?
I calculated assuming an excess of AA and got 7.8266g Asp.
But is AA the limiting reactant? And if it is, then what is the actual theoretical yield? Oh I also figured the balanced equation to be:
C7H6O3 + C4H6O3 = C9H8O4 + HC2H3O2
sal. acid MW is 138g/mol
aspring MW is 180g/mol
thanks everybody! :D
