Whats the glass thing called which looks like a ball with a pole on the end and its completely hollow. This is a sciency question!

The hollow ball is as big as a tennisball, and the long pipe on the end is as long a a pencil and as thick as my..thumb. what did you think i was going to say?

a round bottomed flask with a distillation column attached? This is the closest thing that could possibly fit that description. I've done over 7 years of chemistry and never come across something like what you've described.
