I remember hearing a long time ago about a chemical that moves quickly through the human body, from cell to cell. I heard that you could taste it merely by touching it with your finger, because of this peculiar property. I also recall an episode of a cop show (possibly Barnaby Jones?) wherein the murderer dissolved snake venom in this chemical and painted his victim's steering wheel with it. What I don't recall is the name of the chemical, though I think it was a three- or four-letter abbreviation starting with M. Can anyone help?

A student prepares a solution of carbonate-free NaOH. Upon performing a rough titration, the student finds the concentration to be 0.0625 M instead of 0.1000 M. Assuming that the volume of the solution is 950.0 mL, how many grams of sodium hydroxide should be added to the solution to produce a concentration as close as possible the desired 0.1000 M? (Assume that the sodium hydroxide is carbonate-free.)
