These are the ones I can't figure out.

1.Unicellular frechwater organisms are constantly surrounded by water. How do they compensate for osmosis and stay alive?
2. Plant roots or other structures may be surroinded by water. How do they compensate for osmosis and stay alive?
3. Give an exaple of a cell type that cannot compensate for osmosis. Explain what happens to them.
4. Sea water has a higher concentration of solutes than do human cells. Why might drinking large amounts of sea water be dangerous for humans?

Help?

Okay, these are a few things that I have wondered about for a long time, but I just got the idea to ask them now. :)

1) What the hell is a gene? Is it just a designated portion of nucleotides? I know that it is a part of a chromosome, but is this how it works: DNA is a double-stranded collection of nucleotides. This DNA "bunches" into bundles that are called genes. These genes collectively form 1 of 23 chromosomes. ?????

2) What the hell is up with evolution? Yeah, I get it that things evolve, but for example, I remember reading about a fish that had 2 eyes but because it always laid on its side, the fish eventually evolved so that both eyes were on the same side of the head. How on earth does that happen? Just because something is more convenient for your lifestyle, how can that affect your genetic makeup?

3) Lastly, I've always been taught that DNA --> RNA --> Protein... So how does your DNA determine what you look like? I don't see facial features in there anywhere!

9) A creature will exhibit aggressive behavior only against animals of a different species.

World population is 6.7 billion people. If we start with the biblical number of 8 people who survived the Great Flood 4111 years ago, we get an average population growth rate of 0.5% per year. To avoid changes caused by modern technology and medicine, let's deduct the last 257 years and use only the world' population of 791,000 people in year 1750. This gives us an average growth rate of 0.3% per year. This conservative figure is less than the world growth rate of 1% per year over the past 1000 years. It is also less than the 0.8% growth rate in Africa and Asia and the 0.6% growth rate in Europe, over the past 250 years.

At this rate of 0.3% per year, if we start with just 2 people 10,000 years ago, the world population would grow to 20,000 billions. This is 3000 times higher than the current world population. If we were to start 20,000 years ago, the world population would grow to 2*10**26. That's a population density of 130 billion per square foot. Now imagine millions of years?

All women in the world had their hymen torn before they ever gave birth to their first child. All the women in the world, without a single exception, were born to mothers who no longer have their hymen. Yet, we never heard of a mutation caused by womens' loss of their hymen. We never heard of a new "strain" of women who are born without a hymen. Single rare and random cases - yes. But, as a permanent mutation - no.

If "evolution" is right, this change in the body started "millions of years ago", ever since the first woman appeared in the world. For animals with hymens, this change started even earlier than for humans. So, why didn't females "evolve" into females without hymens?

Isn't that sufficient and convincing factual evidence to prove that "evolution theories" are nonsense?
